Not one to be outdone, Facebook has now entered the cloud gaming arena, by allowing facebookers to instantly play games without downloading the apps. This service is currently only available for Android devices.
This will be a service that is similar to Google Stadia and Microsoft XCloud, allowing access to games that are hosted online, while the user just gets a video stream of the game which they will be able to control.
The new feature is designed to allow players to start games within Facebook and then download the app in the background, making it possible to continue gaming after leaving Facebook.
This service is not available on iPhones due to Apple’s strict rules and regulations regarding streaming games on their devices.
As you may know, Facebook is not new to gaming as it has always had games such as Farmville and Zynga on its platform
